Favorite Quote:
"I finally understood what true love meant...love meant that you care for another person's happiness more than your own, no matter how painful the choices you face might be."
-Nicholas Sparks

Rub your drumsticks,
to create a memorable melody.
A humble tune introduced
for blissful communication.
And a repeated monotone
of vibration and soul.
Your anonymous presence
speaks volumes in the simplest summer night.
Outlining the framework
for the loudest silence.
But it's your continuous lullaby,
that paints my deepest slumbers.
Every time you cry to the moonlight.

The author's comments:
This poem is the first that I've written in a while. What inspired me to write this piece was the other night when I fell asleep to the simple melody of a crickets music outside my bedroom window. I really have a passion for writing and I hope to achieve doing something with journalism when I'm older, but before I do that I really enjoy using my time writing poetry and expressing my thoughts. Continuing practicing what I love to do by praising the simplest things, personally makes me feel like I am achieving that goal. I love to write poetry and I really hope that you enjoy this poem!
