Hunger
How do you quench
A thirst
That goes beyond ages
How do you a feed
The mouths of the undead
In drought I call for rain
And as it drenches the crops
It litters the soil with its love
Only to find myself
Still looking
For one thing I shall never have
For when the dawn
Eats the day, I feast
On stale bread, crumb by crumb
Like caviar for the poor
I wish for more
More.
The mouths are many
The plates are empty
When hunger drives man not his soul
How does one live by the meal they eat?
