Don’t bother to look
Forget that I’m there
Forget my presence
Try and hide
Hide from the fact
You’re more aware of me
Than anybody
Than everybody
You want to speak
You want to laugh
You want to joke
With me
Don’t hide your feelings
Don’t hide from me
Or is it “them”,
That you hide from?
If there is nothing
As you try to act
Why is there something?
Why is there tension?
Tension that bonds us
Tension that builds
Every time I’m around you…
Or are you around me?
