For Love
We are a country away
 Miles and miles
But still I can close my eyes
And feel your arms go around me

I hear your voice on the telephone
The click of our worlds connecting
And even when no words pass through the line
I feel content knowing you are there

 You, my lover
 My possibility
An impossible chance for us both
To find what we have been looking for

 Through rain and shine
 Darkness and light
You will always have a little piece of my soul
 Fastened around your neck.

And when our worlds seem so far apart
I will touch the beads and think of you
Living a life so different than mine
Connected by a single strand of summer love
But that strand, it is so strong
 Fortified by our entwined souls
 By days of obstacles
Forcing us together one by one

So don’t think it hard, love
The distance is not so bad
We can stay together through it all
 If it’s meant to be
