I look up at the stars,

And see nothing,

I look down to the ground,

And see nothing,

Every cloud in my mind,

Disappeared, become worthless, painless,

Nothing,

All worries, troubles, burdens,

Left this world to never return,

My life has become nothing,

And I find it wonderful,

For without broken thoughts,

And sleepless dreams,

The world is quiet here,

With nothing in sight,

I see while others remain blind,

Every breath in,

And every breath out,

Sings of life and is not wasted,

Meditation is my mentor,

Humility is my existence,

Tranquility is my aroma,

Embraced in calm,

Peace,

Simplicity,

I become one with the world,

As I realize,

I am nothing.

The author's comments:
After studying transcendentalism and Henry David Thoreau, I wrote a poem talking about his line "Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity" focusing on what it meant to be nothing and enjoying it.
