Pointed Daggers
one who is greedy, careless,
one who is selfish and oblivious,
not aware of the pointed daggers
he slowly stabs, straight and with purpose
small and white are
grains that make a pile of poison
that dissolves into the heart,
coolly swirl down to the soul,
nothing can stop the stream
once inside, it takes strong hold
one who is greedy, careless,
one who is selfish and oblivious,
not aware of the pointed daggers
he slowly stabs, quiet and with purpose
walking and talking like the rest
even not quite belonging
there is nothing different,
but laying on his surface,
there’s a layer of ice
which goes unseen,
but rattling to the touch
one who is greedy, careless,
one who is selfish and oblivious,
not aware of the pointed daggers
he slowly stabs, cold and with purpose
