\\\\\\\&quot;Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That\\\\\\\&#039;s why its called the present.\\\\\\\&quot; <br /> &mdash; Eleanor Roosevelt<br /> <br /> \\\\\\\&quot;When life gives you lemons, make grape juice. Then sit back and watch as the world wonders how you did it.\\\\\\\&#039;

Tears come
co his eyes,
as he dwells
upon his home.
Never said
goodbye,
to the place
he's known
forever.
The wreckage
that surrounds him,
creates a cloud
of dust.
Through the
musky scatter,
he hears a
firework burst.
It breaks into
a million pieces,
lighting up
the sky.
And he steps
over the rubble,
sparks dazzling
in his eyes.

This is a piece to show my admiration for the tornado victims in Alabama, who watched the fireworks on July 4th among the wreckage of their homes, gaining hope.
