To future love
I leave this note
Take it as a warning
Consider what I wrote.

I'm not ready to give my heart
I'm not ready to give my all
I'll let you in one day
When I know you won't let me fall.

If I hold back
Do not mope
I will someday be ready
Don't give up hope.

I am still escaping
The chains of my past
Help me break the bonds
And this distance won't last.

If you want something else
If you're in it for the fun
You're wasting your time.
Just go ahead and run.

I have to take it slow
We'll have to walk
I'm not into romance
I like to just talk.

My advice on what to do
Be willing to be a friend
Be patient and wait
It's worth it in the end.

To future love
I leave this note
Take it as a warning
Consider what I wrote.

Dating isn't something I need right now, if I ever considered it, he has to be willing to not rush the relationship.
