Falling
Grab my hand before I fall
Save me from my death
I can’t stop myself
It’s an urge that haunts
It finds its way to my brain
Saying “Jump, let yourself go”
“No one cares if you do”
I try to hold back but the voice stands
It won’t give up
I can here you calling
Saying not to jump
To resist the urge
I can’t fight the urge
The impulse
“Take one more step” It pleads
“NO” I scream but it doesn’t work
I step forward
You calling
Trying to stop me
But you were too late
I fell down the cliff
Don’t say it was your fault
It was all me
I lost the fight
The fight against me
And my thoughts
The thoughts that begged,
Pleaded,
And urged
For me to plummet
So again don’t blame yourself
For not getting to me in time
I lost
And like the voice said
Whoever it may be
“No one will care when I’m gone”
No one cares about me
