I’m sorry that I cared for you,
I’m sorry it wasn’t clear,
I’m sorry for the things I did,
The things you didn’t hear.

I’m sorry that you’re leaving,
I’m sorry I won’t change,
I’m sorry that I’m grieving,
Though it might be a little strange.

I’m sorry you might not get your chance,
I’m sorry I even tried,
I’m sorry you won’t get another glance,
I don’t even understand why I cried.

I’m sorry you won’t see me,
I’m sorry this is true,
I’m sorry we might not make it,
It’s only because of you.

The author's comments:
I wrote this when my best friend's friend called me and said my best friend was doing drugs. I was sad about it and I wrote this because of it, then I found out the truth, and it was all a lie; but I got a poem out of it. :)
