memory
in ever-watching hindsight
do you think that I could
 would I have listened
 to the music, to all
 you never said
 so loud, it
 was, in
 quiet
 ears

 would I have spoken
 asked, instead of taken
 what I didn’t even want
 or to be, might have
 been too hard for
 a little woman
 with blonde
 hair and
 a blue
 soul

 I ask only because it
 now is too late, and
 I cannot change
 anything, let
 alone all, and
 since I have no
 use for regrets, at
 this time in my young
life, I will not think at all
 about this, soon, except to
 endlessly remember all I saw
and all I loved, on my last night.
