Shards From a Jewl

My tears are tiny shards from a jewl, precious.
these shards fall to my cheek,
to my chest.
Piercing my heart with every fall.
leaving trails of blood,
pouring from my heart.
It is depressing how you'd let this happen.
Removing the shards from my heart is unbearable,
but letting them be leaves deeper scars
