The thin, frail bodies
Swimming
into the blazing
gates of he**.
Not worthy of entering the pearl gates
of Heaven.
The bodies shrivel, twirl
descending into the underworld.
Men, women, children;
equal
in their exile from Paradise.
Three men stand on top of the gates,
they point and laugh, mocking the fate of those sinking
into endless fire.
The bodies
begging
for one last change.
This is where they repent
sinking farther into the fire and soot.
Their pleads with God
to forgive them once more.
