I hope that happiness lasts forever.
Why would it not?
I have so many things to be grateful for.

I pray that I escape the darkness.
When will my misery end?
I continue to fall downhill.

I’m being kept up all night
By the joys of life.
I’m so entertained by my own mind.

I’m stuck underneath the covers
But I can’t sleep
My mind refuses to halt these evil thoughts.

Where do I lie on a scale of 1-5?
Perhaps I will pass through the middle
But I’m never allowed to stay there long.
I’m always being pulled to one side.
This tug-a-war has been going on
Forever.
If there’s a winner, I can’t tell you
