On Being Lost
A catchphrase for every generation
As they turn their faces toward adulthood
Not all at once, but hiding themselves
In memories at every other moment
 Dancing till forever crashes down,
To the music they know how many times better
Than they could bear to know themselves
But even after the music has disappeared
For the last time, and she kissed him goodbye
 Forever, the echoes of happiness
Still bring remember to my heart
And makes it beat strange, heavy
 Warm, with the longing.
Yes, that should be me, yet in
My own shoes I do not walk,
And I miss you, but you are still in tomorrow-
I don't know know how to get there,
Though you begged me to visit, or
If I can, if I have enough tears even
To gather into a pillow and dream on
For one night. I am still lost,
And this map is yet transparent
 With eyes I cannot feel.
I hope to see the sunrise
In my white dress, and cry, and
 Wish for someday.
And that is the best I can do
 For now.
