Why talk?
Why stuff the air
with meaningless words
leaving no room for the birds?
Why pour my heart out
only to receive indifferent shrugs
or worse,
false sympathies.
Why force my demented thoughts
on an unsuspecting public?
no.
I will keep them
and lock them up.
Hide them from the sun.
But,
if you try hard enough,
I just might give you the key.
