Everybody, Passports
The sun rises
 silhouetting the palm trees
 while it reaches
 it's golden embrace
to the spot where I stand
 in this Miami airport.
 About to take a step
 from the land I love.
 About to fall
 into foreign
 unknown.
 This bittersweet journey
 is still a blank canvas
 and I'm holding the paintbrush,
 About to paint
 my goodbyes.
