Dryness
Numbness feels like being in pain
Only it isn't meant to hurt
 This feels like a start.
The pointy part of the mountain faces light
 It speaks to us
And if the ground beneath me breaks
When I take my most dramatic step towards freedom
 It will be worth it
Dryness is the absence of substance
To fill, to quench, to nourish
 It feels like numb feet.
 Well,
I have taken many steps towards this one.
The desert floor crumbles with the vibrations
 Of my feet touching sand.
