Someday...
Someday, I will look out my back door,
 Staring at a tree identical to this;
 Home it may make me miss,
 But I'll have this, then and evermore.

 Someday, I just may
 Be married, adopt a child,
 Even though today
 Those thoughts seem wild.

 Someday, I will stand at the end of an isle,
 Gazing upon all those smiles,
 Knowing how far I've come
 To share this day of sun.

 Someday, I will have a degree,
 An office for children to be heard;
 I will help their parents see
 The meanings of their words.

 Someday, I will not care
 About my makeup, my hair;
 I'll cut it all off, go without
 Refusing to in disarray shout.

 Someday, I will leave this town,
 Not shedding a tear, nor even a frown;
 I'll find a small place,
 Maybe see a new face.

 Someday, I will leave my school,
 Graduate, feeling fulfilled, cool;
 The next year missing all of it,
 Down to the desks at which I'd sit.

 Someday, I will be open,
 More outgoing, and maybe then
 Have a relationship in high school
 With someone, both acting a fool

 But Today,
 I must say...
 I am young,
 Still having fun.

 Today,
 I must say...
 I have a lot to learn
 Before this life is adjourn.

I'd had an epiphany:
My life's hopes and dreams,
Bursting at the seems.
