I lay awake this night
Trying and trying
But still the clock ticks
And still I lay awake
As I lie
I glance outside
The darkness passes over the land
While others sleep
I lay awake
I lay awake
As insomnia brings no end
To how long I'll be here
To how long I'll wait
But it doesn't care
It'll keep me here
For hours on end
As I lay awake
The night goes on
But I'm still here
I look at the clock
Again and again
Until finally
Morning comes
And another night is wasted
