Moonlight Lies
Lies on a brick path, never changing
But always growing in frolics.
The bricks melt from the humidity of you,
And your essence is an evil force
Surrounding the land you stand on.
You give this area a bad name,
With wilting glory.
You’re unspoken to anyone.
You’re truths are shadowed.
Like moonlight paths in the stardust,
For the shine is too bright for the untruthful.
And you are the example we choose.
You’re too involved in the untruth.
I cannot see beyond your lies,
It’s too opaque for my discovering.
I cannot look in your eyes
Or your face,
For those too, are lies.
