The boy who wears eyeliner,
Walks through the hallway with his black clothes on,
With his converse's on, and all the strangers eyes who look at him,
That's what completes the outfit.
It's hard to have confidence
When everybody likes to remind you,
That in society's eyes you're a freak,
A weirdo,
A boy-lover who wears eyeliner.
Why is it that a few things from Hot Topic,
And raven black eyeliner
Can destroy your whole life?
Your "friends" walk away from you,
Your parents are dissapointed in you.
All because you changed your life a little bit.
Writing poetry doesn't mean you're gay.
So now the boy who wears eyeliner,
After being beat up again,
Goes home to cut the tears into his wrist.
Because that's what society expects him to do,
Either dress himself in the Ralph Lauren and be the captain of the football team,
Or bleed away his ruined life.
At his funeral, no one will remember how tortured he was,
And that maybe his suicide wasn't just a cry for attention gone wrong.
And thus ends the tragedy of the boy who wore eyeliner.
