Utterly Useless

The thunder chants above
our heads while we sit
and pray for our lost souls
we close our eyes as
the earth rumbles
beneath our feet
our world's crashing down
around us and we scramble
to save our puny lives
the Great Storm is upon us
and we grovel before it's
might
we are washed away by
the waves of time, some of
us climb the tallest mountain
in hope of escaping
but we won't
