Just like a horse
Fly for awhile
Like birds of course.
Bark for protection
And climb like a cat
Climb up to Heaven
Defeat every bat.
Because I am free.
I am free to smile
I am free to see
I'm free as a child
I'm free as can be.
I am free to love
I am free to be me
I'm free as a dove
I'm free as can be.
Let me reach
Reach out to the stars
Pretend I'm on a beach
No matter how far.
Because I am free.
And let me dream
Dream about big wonders
Where nobody is mean
Not even thunder.

Look at your rhyme schemes, look at the balance structures, look to see if the poem smoothly flows.  Let it be free and let it sing so smoothly.
