Dear Grandpa,
I miss your smile
Gentle and kind
And your hugs
Welcoming and warm
The conversations we had
There was always something to say
You looked out for me
And now you're watching over me
There are no words to describe how much I love you and miss you
Time can never heal losing you
The grieving is a process that never ends
I didn't get enough time with you
It's not fair, it was barely fifteen years
But I was lucky to get the time that I got
All the pain and suffering you endured makes you the strongest person I know
Not a day goes by where I don't
think of you, and often I cry
When I think about how the time is passing
There is so much I wish I could share with you
So much I want you to see
I like to think you're watching from above
I'd give anything in the world for you to still be here with us
The memories will never fade
You are at peace in Heaven now
You'll always be in my heart
You are loved by many, and forgotten by none
