Expect a wait
Expect to sit in a chilled room
With a blurred light raining overhead
Plastic wicker pressing into skin
And wait
Jaw clenched and throbbing
Eyes frozen on a paneled ceiling
Breath shaking beneath ribs
Back pooling with clear sweat
And wait
Uncertain in the muted sunshine
