The rapid thud of my heart is all I hear
Deafening screams that made my ears want to bleed,
Sound no longer

All is still, I am consumed in silence
Left only with my nightmares
Personally, I’d take the screams over the silence any day
Because at least then I know, I’m alive

I can’t even hear the beat of my own heart anymore
My air completely gone
I try to gasp for anything, but come up empty handed

They say death is peace,
But what kind of peace is this
Death was suppose to be a release

This is what I think,
Looking at the lie carved into my grave
Staring at those three words,
Rest In Peace

This piece is really interesting to me. However, I don't understand why you put in the first stanza that the beating of your heart was deafening, and later said you couldn't hear it at all. Other than that and a few spelling mistakes, this was pretty good.
