That Day
On a morning in mid September
After ten years we again remember
When planes crashed to fill the air with smoke
Many citizens of our nation did choke
With ash and grief, dust and sorrow
We worried for our countrymen, and what would happen tomorrow
Some were to young, and may never understand
The others struggled to stand strong, hand in hand
We remember the day our innocence was lost
Of the flights that had much too great a cost
