The Death of Us
Autumn breeze, and colored leaves
Foreshadowing the things to come;
So cold, and so crystal clear,
I can feel it oh so near;
Coming with such force,
Nothing will remain;
A devastating impact,
Leaving nothing the same;
Shake life at the core,
A foundation so unstable;
Dying to stay afloat,
But is quite unable;
Don’t fight the inevitable,
This evil caused by selfishness;
Broken beyond repair,
No joy in any of this;
I’ve seen the things I wish I didn’t
But know that I must;
It all happened so fast
You were the death of us;
