Exhausted Creator
Exhausted from my creation of your world
My eyes, sunken in and cold
I existed before time was ever told
Long since I whispered softly to the stars
"You too shall shine so bold"
How long since I blew into
You, every shred of my soul
Then placed your flesh-cursed soles
Down upon her, once whole.
Mother earth with her heart of gold
To watch history unfold
Your choices were yours, yours alone
Yet I spent your eternity tasked to decompose
Like a maggot, I dine daily on your scold
But I've grown weary, now I am old
And it is time for me to go
Remember me while you choke the searing stones
As the one that sold the world.
