A Poem For 9/11
People oh people of the world trade
Memories of you have started to fade
But once a year in the month of September
We all mourn in silence and remember together
Ash filled the streets like a layer of snow
As smoke billowed in morning's first cold
A terrorist's dream filled with hate
It shattered all hope, sealed your fate
Bodies pulled from rubble, not a live soul found
Sorrow seeps from Lady Liberty's crown
People oh people of the world trade
Memories of you never will fade
