Boxes
I once saw a cloud
In the shape of a heart
It reminded me of you
So I stole it, and put it in a box-
I once saw a mother
Weeping with rage
She was burying her child
In a long, brown, beautiful box-
I once saw a man
With dirt on his eyes
He looked cold and tired
He lived in a small, cardboard box-
I once saw a box
With a cloud, child and man
On it, written in blue pen
Was the simple, eloquent word: LIFE.
