untitled
It is not hard to find
The shadows and the obscure spots
Hidden in your toothy, reprehensible grin.
 The mystery that sticks itself
In the pupils of your eyes
Is only magnified by the stark blue
 Of your irises.

 I have learned, over time,
To sniff out the cracks and crevices
That make their way deep in your laugh
I can’t tear my thoughts away
From whatever lay beyond your breastbone,
 Where your heart should be.
The nefarious corners of your lips
Are hard to ignore; what slips from them
When I’m not around to hear?
