I Have Sinned, But I Don't Want Your Forgiveness
I was never given permission
to write in the dead of the night.
Strictly forbidden, you see,
doing anything but what you’re told.
‘Tis my guilty little pleasure
that I indulge in under my sheets
while the other boys are busy
violating themselves in silence.
Endangering their immortal souls, they say.
Ha!
And even should I be caught,
hung for my sinful and satanic verse,
I won’t regret a minute of it.
