It's What They Don't Say
You know what I hate?
When people think I’m great
But they don’t say a word,
Making me feel like a turd.
And when they do,
It’s only for turns,
Never my skills,
Or how fast I learn.
Is that fair?
Is it fair for a girl to be kept in the dark,
Never told what to do,
Or wherever to mark?
No. No it’s not.
That’s why I left.
No longer to leap,
Being a victim of theft.
For now I dance with a Russian twist.
Having the time of my life,
Not having to hide,
As I dance with new eyes.
