Outside I'm smiling
no one notices
but it's hard to control this

when you see me shuffle by
it doesn't look like it but i want to cry
thought racing through my head

then come the tears that i shed
how can i change
all the tears and rage

that all i need is a helping hand

but before you judge take a walk in my shoes
sadness anger and misunderstood pain
