Waiting
I’m waiting
 Waiting for many things
 Everyday I watch
 For those things
 I wait for
 I wait for the rain
 To fall from the sky
 I wait for the birds
 To sing me their songs
 I wait for the grass
 To grow green again
 I wait for the day
 When I won’t be waiting
 Anymore
 One day I’ll wake up
 Breath in fresh air
Air that does not bring tears
 To my eyes
 Because it’s polluted
 and dead
One day the world will be
What it was created to be
And we’ll dance in the streets
 Joyful and pure
And that will be the day
When I don’t have to wait
 Anymore
 Because things will be different
 The grass will be green
 Rain will fall
 Birds will sing
 I will be free
