Reoccuring Nightmare
I’m on a sea of liquid fire
The red hot lava flowing
Around me and burning my boat
Their sails have turned black
Like that of a pirate’s ship.
Out of the burning lake
Comes two ghoulish figures
They are demonic forces
Derived from hate and everything ugly
They come to kill me
To take me down
Where no one can hear me
Not that I am screaming
Or even trying to talk.
They wish me to be their mistress
Making promises of slendid power
and no more troubles
But really they want to corrupt me
And eat my soul.
I push them
From my wrecked boat
Fighting with them until
They finally release me.
Their grips were like iron
Just as iron melts
So did they
And just as iron is molds
So did the flesh of their hands.
Their horrifying hand prints
Etched into my skin
I have been branded by a nightmare.
Every night they come back
Every night I fight them
I push them back into the
Sea of destruction
The lake of fire
But how can you destroy something
By forcing it back into the womb?
Better yet-
Why am I
Trying to sail
On the Lake of Destruction
