All those questions I asked
And re-asked
Even though I knew the answer
Would always be the same
All those chances I took
And re-took
Because maybe I thought
The pain would hurt a little less
All those moments I thought could go right
But didn’t
All that love I tried to forget
But couldn’t
All those wishes I make
But shouldn’t
All those tears I cried for a hero
Who never came
They cannot be forgotten
Thrown away
Beat up
Tossed aside
Shut down
Locked up
They will always and forever
Remain in my heart
