The dream was like a forbidden
  lover
 Taken from me by the beep
   of the 'morrow
 The man who stole the dream 
   was the only man I loved
 Sweet at first then turned
    into a thing that only nightmares know
 Why must they all steal my
    peace of mind?
 My only thing left that
   keeps me apart from the monsters
