"Some of you may have taken history or civics classes that outlined the freedoms one expects in a democracy. At the heart of those freedoms is choice... With an affirmative choice, all democracy vanishes."

What I need
What I've lost
Hear me out
Just for now.
Every breath I take
Stabbing knives,
One big mistake,
Let the shadows of what was
Disappear
Into haunted grounds
Suffocating, choking, losing
Conscious as I fade
Into the night.
Blind man seeking
Precious sight
Purpose losing
Fading
Will it be all right?
I'm begging, pleading,
Heart wide open,
Don't you see what I've gone through?
No games, no fakes,
You don't,
Damned fool.
Pride be thy fall,
Knows thy naught.
For I'll be gone
When the gauntlet falls.
Dreams are haunting
My own life
My path is clear,
Blood and strife.
Hopes and dreams
Aren't led astray.
Love me, hate me
Now, today.
I can't trust the fiery arms
Of a monster,
What other cause?
Giving up,
That's what you see.
But my fighting won't stop,
Hearing ecstasy.
Lay me down,
Here for the taking,
By the peaceful sleep,
That knows no waking

I want people to feel something. I want them to understand.
