Different personalities.
Different eyes.
Different hair.
Different skin.

Different cultures.
Different beliefs.
Different life-styles.
Different race.

She is my shoulder to cry on,
my best friend,
my blood-sister.

I didn't notice her skin tone,
Didn't notice her accent,
Didn't notice her different life-style
Nor her beliefs.

She is my blood-sister,
and that's all that matters to me.


The author's comments:
I wrote this poem because I absolutely despise racism. It's so un fair and unjust, and I wanted to write about it.
