Why do our parents say
It’s so futile and juvenile
For two teenagers to fall in love?
Why can’t we?
So what if we don’t love like adults?
So what if we hold hands
To show our affection?
Who are they to say
That’s not good enough?
And why not enjoy
Whatever it is we have
While we’re young?
While we’re crazy enough
To enjoy the overwhelming lust,
When we can see each other
Every single day,
Without any real life adult problems
To deal with.
Stop telling us how we’re doomed to fail,
And let us enjoy
Whatever you won’t
Admit to be love.

I agree with this poem! Adults say we should wait to fall in love, but how can we learn what love is if we don't figure it out as teenagers? I love your point of view and how you present it. Very well written. Maybe you can review some of my poetry?

May the sun always shine on your windowpane; May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain; May the hand of a friend always be near you; May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.

This is very good and describes what happens in many of our lives. The true question is why arent we allowed to love as teenagers. My dad has always told me its because are brains arent developed enough to handle it. But I disagree ive been in love and its the best thing in the world and we handled it just fine until it was over anyway. Great Job!

As you go on with life, never regret anything. Everything I've ever done has lead me to having for beautiful children. If I had never gotten on my motor cycle that day I would have never met your mother and you wouldn't be here-dad

I think you did an amazing job on this poem i liked it alot and feel like you did a great job capturing emotions and adressing a subject most teens can relate to
