On The Floor
Fighting to breath
As her heart breaks one more time
She asks herself
Why does this always happen to me
As the tears start to the fall
As the thunder begins to roll
A thunderstorm of emotions
A heart full of bees
As her chest feels as if its going to explode
She sinks to the floor
Forehead to the ground
As she moans
Floor full of water
Salty water of her tears
As she tries to hold onto her sanity
She fails and sinks impossibly deeper
Her world has became black
She dreams of what could have been
She feels his lips still imprinted on hers
She cries even harder
Weeping for the bittersweet memories
Her heart is in pieces
She doesnt have the strength to pick them up
As she lays in heap
On the bathroom floor
Hating herself
As she looks into the mirror
Wishing she was someone different
Wishing for something that cant be
She thinks of the past
She thinks of the future
As she holds her hand to her chest
She feels as if
Her heart has been beat
With a baseball bat
As if he
Ran it over with his car
As he backed out of her drive
One last time
One last kiss
One last goodbye
Can she survive this time?
As the boy she loves walks away
On the floor she begins to get cold
Colder and colder
She wallows in her own tears
With her head pressed hard against the cold floor
Sprawled across it
Unable to move
Blinded by more tears
As she once more thinks of bittersweet memories
Her tears finally come to stop
She picks herself up
And dries herself off
Determined to show her face
Determined to be okay
No matter how long it takes
No matter how many scars there are that need to be healed
With her heart duct taped together
She is ready for a fresh start
No longer on the floor
But floating high
She rides her waves of emotion
Waiting for a break in the tide
