See Don't Look
You look at her hips and call her fat,
but you don’t really see the true beauty in her curves.
You look at her hair and call it greasy,
but you don't really see that she barely ever has water.
You look at her clothes and call them hideous,
but you don’t really see that her family doesn’t have much money.
You look at her face and call her a pig,
but you don’t really see the tears in her eyes.
She looks at you and says stop
but she never gets to see you do that.
You look down at her dirty, gray grave stone,
and you finally see the pain that you’ve caused her.
