For My Brother
You are a mystery to me
As I suppose you’ll always be
Yet somehow I’ve loved you unconditionally
Do you feel the same way?
Do you wonder how my days been,
How much I’ve suffered recently?
If mayhap you did, would you come to my aid?
And if the answer be yes, then why didn’t you?
For so long I waited
It’s incredibly funny because, I once thought you
My knight in shining armor
How foolish a girl I was
Now, I only think you a coward
A lonesome boy who is not worthy
Neither of my love nor of my tears
If you had only the slightest idea
Of the amount of tears I shed for you
Of how stupidly I hoped for you
But waiting for you
Is like waiting for rain in a drought,
Useless and disappointing
I wonder if one day you’ll come to realize
Just how much I loved you
Back when I thought you my brother
Though now, after much thought and writing
I’ve concluded that you are nothing but a stranger
And I don’t like to talk to strangers
