love has left me but not for long

love was kind when i needed it the most
love was sincere and it didn't boast
but now it's let me go
and the tilde waves came crashing
now it's been done before so isn't quite dashing
refraining from the motions and emotions, we fall
take one step back and your down for it all,
damaged and heartbroken
it's left me, shame and unspoken it's made me, but there is one thing it hasn't taken away
is my dignity to walk the other way
