I made this promise
A promise oh so hard to keep
Each day a battle
Each day I lose the fight
But not the battle
I'm wondering
What if I forfeit?
Would you let me?
If I lose another fight
Will you just hold me?
With seventy degree weather
Inside I freeze each day
Make me feel warm again
Please?
The promise is so hard to keep
I'm tearing
More and more each day
I'm still fighting
But this is like running on a treadmill
I fight and fight
Not moving anywhere
Help me keep this promise
