When I Was
When I was two and ten
I believed every word
Didn't dare to think any different
Than what I was told
Never colored outside the lines
Always did my homework
Innocent and young
When I was two and ten
Still timid and shy
I sat in class and watched the time fly
Not saying a word
Just waited and observed
For now I am six and ten
I usually only do homework in pen
No longer naive
Cause let's be honest, who am I trying to please?
