The Forest
You are lost in the shadows the world casts upon you
While hidden among the trees that dominate over you.
All else is obsolete when you stop and think.
You question yourself on whether your priorities are straight
And discover you need to take a better look.
The mirror will show your true reflection.
The words you see dancing in your head are shown
Feathered with glory, so you attempt to share this
Picture, but the world is deaf to the sentences you speak.
No one can follow though you keep trying to lead
And show how different everything could be here
If only they could see through the eyes you do.
The confusion takes over forcing your thoughts to disappear
Into nothing while you are stuck in the forest
In absence of all, wishing for a lighthouse to guide you home.
